February 25, 2023: eyes3 officially announces new editions that support tennis clubs and coaches to offer rich analytics and recording capabilities as in professional tournaments and trainings to tennis enthusiasts.
Kowloon Tsai Home Owner Association (KTHOA) is the first sports recreational club in Hong Kong to use eyes3 new editions. “Tennis is the original sport that helped establish the Association in 1958, we are excited to provide professional-level real time data and effective AI technologies to our members,” said George Cheung, Recreation Committee Chairman of the Kowloon Tsai Home Owner Association. “eyes3 does not require specialised cameras or complex cabling, so it is easy to deploy that based on our Association’s needs. Our members will benefit from using eyes3, not just to increase fair play in club and league matches, but also as a coaching and training tool to improve their playing performances.”
Hong Kong Tennis Association (HKTA), the national sporting body for tennis in Hong Kong, has adopted eyes3 as its official match officiating system since 2019. “eyes3 has levelled up tennis players, coaches, linesmen and chair umpires in Hong Kong, and engaged spectators in a positive way. These days, players and match officials both express a preference to play or officiate on courts where eyes3 is deployed,” said Mr. Lam Siu Wai, League Management Committee Chairman of HKTA. “The Association has been actively promoting the adoption of technologies in tennis, including the use of eyes3 in objective electronic line-calling systems.”
United States Professional Tennis Associations (USPTA) is the first professional coach certification body using eyes3 in Hong Kong. “As the global leader in tennis-teacher certification and professional development, we are glad that eyes3 offers tennis specific solutions such as goal-based training, synchronised multi-angle video replay, among other features that greatly contribute to our trainings and certification process,” said Kevin Kwok, USPTA Instructor.
